The month of January will witness one of the biggest and most widely covered festivals in the Philippines.
The Kalibo Sto. Nino Ati-Atihan Festival, which reels off on the second week of January 2016, will again draw local and foreign tourists, balikbayans and the devotees of the Holy Child throughout the world to witness this very unique and colorful festival.
The Ati-Atihan was organized in the sixties by then Mayor Federico O. Icamina. What used to be a local ordinary affair has become what is now called the ‘Mother of all Philippine Festivals” or the “Fiesta of All Fiestas.”
We thank the community for their trust in our successful management of the Ati-Atihan festival and their support in the endeavors. We promise continued transparency in our financial accounting and our dedicated service and total commitment to make this celebration truly a tradition for the ages.
I wish you all a happy celebration. Ag kita nga mga Kalibonhon, may atong Panaad, ngani nagasinggit kita: Viva kay Señor Sto. Niño!
